Core Knowledge Lesson Plans
- Building on Geometry
Thirteen lessons for intermediate students in which they use hands-on activities to gain a basic understanding of Geometry. Concepts are integrated with Language Arts and Social Studies activities.
- Exploring Area
Literature is combined with manipulatives (square tiles and tangrams) to introduce the geometric concept of area to primary students over a 10 day period.
- Exploring Geometry
Intermediate students learn geometry (lines, angles, triangles, polygons, circles, area, perimeter, volume) as a means to better understand early exploration and navigation in this four week unit.
- Geometry: Beyond Pencil and Paper
Here's a four week unit for intermediate students which helps them understand that geometry is part of their lives. The unit uses geoboards, grid paper, tracing paper, origami, objects in the home, and the grocery store.
- Simply Shapes
In this 10 day teaching unit, primary students participate in a variety of hands-on activities that introduce them to shapes.

- Regents Exams Prep Centre: Math
The Prep Centre, developed by Oswego County high school teachers, is intended to help Grade 12 teachers and students prepare for the N.Y. Regents Exams. Teachers can access sets of sample questions that are organized by subject and then by topic. Alternatively, students can attempt the questions, view the correct answer, or follow a link to a tutorial on the curricular content in the question if they need assistance.

This database has close to 200 lesson plans organized under the following headings: Arithmetic, Algebra and Trigonometry, Geometry and Measurement, Graphs and Visuals, Patterns and Logic, Probability and Statistics, Practical and Applied Math, Recreational and Creative Math, and Miscellaneous. This is Mega Mathematics

In this series of instructional units from Los Alamos National Laboratory, students are exposed to unusual and important mathematical ideas so that they and their teachers can think about them together. Each unit contains sections describing background information, vocabulary, big ideas and key concepts, activities, evaluation, and preparation and materials. Units cover such topics as minimum number of colours needed to colour a map, graphing, knots, algorithsm, finite state machines, infinity, and logical analysis. Although targeted for elementary students, the site has potential value for students of all ages.

wNet School: Mathematics Lessons

wNetStation, a public television station in New York, hosts a web site designed for K-12 teachers which contains Internet-based lessons for core math curriculum topics. Student and teacher guides are included with each lesson. At the time of review, the site contained lessons on math history, graphs, measurement, and polyhedra.
